Qurbani Project in Bangladesh
Qurbani (Udhiyah) means sacrifice. During the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims from around the world sacrifice an animal (either a sheep, goat, cow or camel), in accordance to the tradition of the Prophet Ibrahim (upon him be peace). The month of Dhul Hijjah will be upon us soon. It is during this blessed month that Muslims around the world remember one of the hardest the trial bestowed by Allah Almighty on Prophet Ibrahim (as).
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was once asked by his Companions: “O Prophet of Allah! What is this Qurbani?” He replied, “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (as).”(Hadith – Ibn Majah)
Qurbani is a sacrifice that is offered at the time of Eid al-Adha to show gratitude towards Allah (swt) and to provide for the poor and needy. Qurbani is a time of happiness for many poor and needy families as that is the only time they get to eat some meat.
How your Qurbani donation has helped those in Bangladesh
By donating your Qurbani obligation through us, you can help the people in Bangladesh, many of whom do not have the finance to afford the luxury of meat.
Your Qurbani donation can give the opportunity to the less fortunate to finally partake of some meat… something which we are fortunate to eat frequently.
Goreeb Yateem has been carrying out Qurbani on behalf of the donors since our inception and so far we have sacrificed more than 3,800 Qurbani units helping around 22,000 families.
Your donation has helped widows, orphan children, elderly and those who are in need to have a more balanced diet. Help us to bring hope and happiness to the lives of others by donating your Qurbani through us
