Abu Malik al-Ashari (r.a.) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) said: “Cleanliness is half of faith. Prayer is a light. Charity is proof (of one’s faith). Endurance is a brightness and the Qur’an is a proof on your behalf or against you. (Muslim, 432)

Rice Bag Project in Bangladesh

Poverty in Bangladesh is currently high where majority of the people are facing difficulties to feed their own families. It is estimated that at 31.5% (109,600,000), Bangladesh has the highest percentage of its population living below the national poverty line. By giving one rice bag, a family can be fed for 2 months giving those in need a stress relief from hunger.
.

In 2017, Goreeb Fund has spent over £15,000 providing over 800 rice bags to various different educational institutes serving poor and needy students including family members. All the families that we deliver rice to are needy and the gratitude expressed is exceptionally overwhelming.

Our main target by 2020 is to deliver rice bags to different districts around Bangladesh, including rural villages, feeding thousands of students in Islamic institutions and those families that are in need of food, suffering from starvation

Rice donations is not just a mere task since majority of the families are located in remote villages and our little car struggles to reach them, however our team delivers and does what it takes because we believe that with every little struggle, surely there would be ease.
